Solar Science Spectacular

Join the Iowa Children’s Museum on October 14, 2023 from 10 am to 4 pm as we shine a light on solar energy and provide interactive activities that will have your child beaming with excitement! This is the final event in our “Power of Nature” series, presented by the Alliant Energy Foundation.

Activities:

• Learn what causes an eclipse, then step outside the museum to witness the wonder of a partial eclipse (from 10:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.) with special eclipse viewers.
• Engage in hands-on activities that explore the science and application of solar energy.
• Sign up for awesome giveaways that will keep the excitement alive after the event ends.
• This event is for everyone! For visually impaired visitors, we will have tactile books that cover topics related to the solar system and eclipses.

All event activities are included with museum admission. Free for members!
