Sticking Up for Autism Awareness
Pizza at 6:15 PM • Program begins at 6:45 PM and ends at 8:15 PM
Join us at The Iowa Children’s Museum for a FREE workshop including an interactive presentation and DHS-approved training focused on autism and developmental delays in early childhood.
Our workshop presenter will be Judith Jensen, a retired kindergarten teacher, social worker, and ACEs /Trauma-informed Care presenter who has extensive experience with early childhood educators and families. Jude will be speaking about the special challenges providers face when caring for children with communication and behavior challenges. We will address the skills needed to become more resilient while dealing with our children’s challenges and to find joy in our progress and our successes.
Childcare for children 4 years and up is available, but pre-registration is required.

Celebration of the Young Child
Special Activities from 10 AM – 4 PM • Museum Open 10 AM – 6 PM
Come play at The Iowa Children’s Museum and interact with 25+ community organizations devoted to early childhood education. Free admission all day long, plus free vision and dental screenings, door prizes, and free books for the first 100 children!
