STEM Family Free Night
July 30, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
ADMISSION LIMITED to the first 200 guests to maintain reduced capacity limits. Advanced tickets are NOT available for this event. See below for more information.
Giving all children opportunities to play, regardless of their background or ability to pay, is critical to our mission. We are thrilled to take this first step toward once again offering free events in our space by providing a July STEM Family Free Night! Pick up a STEM scavenger hunt guide at the front desk to help you explore concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math during this fun evening of play.
PLEASE NOTE: To maintain our reduced capacity and make social distancing possible, we are only able to admit a total of 200 guests during this 2-hour event. We will do this by providing 200 free admissions, starting at 6 PM. Once we have reached our capacity, we will not admit additional guests. We will revisit this policy for future events as we determine the best way to welcome the community into our space while remaining dedicated to creating a healthy, safe environment for all.
Our goal this summer is to offer STEM Family Free Night for those who otherwise may not have a chance to come play in our space. Members are invited to come play during regular museum hours (Tues-Sun, 10am-6pm) or our special Members Only Hour on weekday mornings.
Thank you to our lead sponsor Collins Aerospace.
Thanks also to our supporting sponsor, Alliant Energy Foundation
“STEM literacy is a person’s ability to apply his or her understanding of how the world works within the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. It does not simply mean achieving literacy in these areas individually. Rather, STEM literacy refers to the ability to investigate and question these facets of the world in an interdisciplinary manner.”
